Depositions Often the insurance company/employer will decide to take your deposition prior to your case being heard in court. A deposition is a meeting at which the defense attorney will ask you questions about your injury, medical history, past accident history, and other questions under oath before a court reporter. The court report will record the questions and answers in a written transcript. These depositions are very important therefore, you must be sure to be present at your deposition(s) a half hour early as specified on your appointment letter sent to you so that you may be properly prepared.
